Location, staff and food is great..but..the rooms are not sound proof. You can hear everything from all hours of the night and day

Posted 11 Jun 2024 on HotelsOriginal room I was assigned was in 'old' part of hotel and opened up onto restaurant. For extra £15 or so a night was quickly upgraded to a very nice room overlooking pool. Spacious, modern furniture/decor. Good size pool, with popular bar next to it.
Convenience store right next door, and Indian restaurant accross street. Excellent Indian restaurant , Royal, on top floor nearby hotel. You are a short walk from Walking Street and the go go bars, but I was not hearing any noise in my room.
Service friendly and efficient.
Would be happy to stay there again, but definitely pay extra for room in new buildings would be my advice.

Orchid Inn is affordable and functional. The staff is good and the poolside garden, lovely.
