This is very much a lakeside resort. You're literally in a duplex cabin-style room on a walking trail circling a good-sized lake, dotted with woodcarving workshops. The scenery is beautiful, the people-watching interesting, and there is much to do in the immediate area.
The room itself was nice, spacious, and comfortable. There was one quirk of our room, though. Apparently the hotel used local wood for some decorative trim going around the bathroom mirror. And apparently, the wood had some wood borer beetles that were hard at work chewing holes through the trim (not any other wood in the cabin, thankfully). My wife and I didn't mind -- and my in-laws next door had no such critters -- but we could hear the beetles hard at work throughout the evening. No other insect problems inside the room, though.
This didn't really detract from the experience for us. We rather enjoyed it, actually.
