"Amazing time at Ella Retreat, the staff were very friendly and attentive. The hotel is located a short drive away from Ella city, which is a bit sketchy at times heading up the mountain (but exhilarating). Being away with nature was great, be sure to visit the nearby waterfall! "

"When we got to the hotel they 1st said they didn't do hotel's. Com so i was about to cancel my credit card as i thought i had been scammed had i done so it would have been very inconvenient. After 20 minutes of panicking the manager came over and said we did have a booking. If i had not paid upfront i would have walked out NOT HAPPY 😡"

"We stayed at this delightful mountain cabin in Ella. It hangs off the mountain, faces directly west for the perfect sunset between two peaks. The view is breathtaking. The pictures do not do the tiniest bit of justice. It's a brand new cottage with 2 seperate units. One with a bedroom + loft sleeps 4 people. The other is a two bedroom. The only downside to this place is getting there.. some steel hills, big vehicles cannot go. Tuk Tuks... that struggle to get up the hill or walk. It's worth it...

"Wonderful 3 nights here. Unfortunately, we booked a garden view room so not much to look at and no chairs on the balcony. Springing for the mountain view room would be worth the extra money! Staff and service are excellent. Clean, comfortable and modern decor room, plus the rainfall shower is superb after enduring the heat and humidity! Breakfast is sufficient and good. "Ella green är ett fantastiskt litet ställe dit du tar dig efter en liten uppförsbacke. Vi hade utsikt över skogen med mycket fåglar och några apor. Personalen var mycket hjälpsam och bjöd på en god frukost med allt för mycket mat. 10 minuters promenad var vi nere i centrum med affärer restauranger vi stannade 2 nätter och är mycket nöjda med tanke på priset. "Very friendly staff and wonderful property. They are located close to the main area of restaurants and a quick drive to things like Little Adam’s Peak. The place itself is very nice and well maintained. Breakfast is tasty- what seems like the standard Sri Lankan breakfast, but well done. "

Unique and wonderful experience

" Highlight of our trip in Sri Lanka. We stayed in the romantic tent which has the view to waterfalls and it was amazing. The facilities were just like in pictures and everything was clean and well maintained. You also have all the necessities you need in the tent (minibar, slippers, hairdryer). However the best part was still the staff. They are there for you from the moment you arrive and you can reach them anytime via whatsapp whenever you need more drinks, tuktuk, food or anything. The breakfast is brought to your tent every morning according to your wishes and lunch/dinner is also available. Everything was delicious and freshly made for you and you get to eat your meals in terrace with the views. All in all it was such an amazing place and would highly recommend to anyone who wants to be in the nature but still 5-star-worthy served. Nothing to complain."
