Comfortable Hotel
Posted 1 Jun 2024 on HotelsExternally the hotel does not look interesting but it has been renovated and is lovely inside especially the breakfast room. The bedroom was contemporary and very clean. The only downside was the shower as it wasn’t very powerful. Parking in front of the hotel was very easy and free. The breakfast was extremely good. Unfortunately the swimming pool was closed. Short walk into town.

I stayed 2 nights in July since I had business in town. Service was friendly and uncomplicated throughout. My room was relatively large and included a large balcony with table and 2 chairs and a nice view over the valley. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom with shower was clean and everything worked fine. It should be noted though that the room had no air-conditioning and was quite warm. Only by blocking the balcony door with a chair in the fully open position could I secure a comfortable sleeping temperature at night. Not sure whether that would have also worked during the recent heat wave in this area. But during my stay it worked well. Breakfast variety was fine. I wish I would have had more time to enjoy it before leaving for work in the mornings. The hotel is located in a quiet area at the border of the town. Both evenings I enjoyed the 1 km (10 min) walk through a residential street to the scenic historic town centre, which offers quite a variety of restaurants for every taste and budget. Most restaurants had pleasant outside seating and there was no disturbing traffic. I also enjoyed an evening walk through the park of the Castle, which is right in the centre of town and includes a nice rose garden. Only annoying thing was that the WIFI didn't work well and had a lot of lengthy interruptions, which made internet dependent work impossible.

Quaint little hotel
Posted 10 Nov 2018 on HotelsThis as a last minute booking that I add as I was looking for a place to stay in between my drive from Rotterdam to Hamburg.
The hotel is nice and the service was pleasant. The room was clean, though a bit dated (circa the 70’s). The room initially had the smell of dog, but quickly cleared out once I opened the balcony door. Overall, it was great value and I was able to get a great night of rest.

Posted 31 Aug 2018 on HotelsGreat Hotel in a lovely Spa town not far from the Motorway from Bremen to Amsterdam. Quiet. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed. Great shower. Plenty of parking. Nice restaurant.
However, breakfast coffee very weak and no stronger option available. No BBC or CNN TV stations available.

Beautiful
Posted 29 Oct 2017The staff were super friendly, incrediblly helpful. The room was big and clean. The bathroom was big and clean. They had a sauna, pool, and restaurant. Everything you needed and want right there. It was close to the town Centre. I loved it.
