Let me start by saying the view of the lagoon was beautiful from the bungalow. However the place had a lot of ants and lizards. We also found some small insects in the bed while we were sleeping and fortunately they were not bedbugs. I don’t think we will stay again.

Main draw is the view and location
Posted 26 Jun 2024 on HotelsBest thing about the place is the view and location. On a beautiful spot on the lagoon and has a nice pool and access to lagoon swimming. The rooms are bare bones but clean and have a big balcony. There aren’t many outlets and strangely one is on the wall close to the ceiling. The staff at the front desk were nice and friendly. The restaurant didn’t seem to have regular hours and was a bit overpriced for what it was (don’t get the green sandwich).
If you want to stay on the lake but not have to spend a lot this is an option. Alternatively you can stay in a cheap decent place in town and then get a mostly consumable day pass at one of the beach clubs or nice hotels on the lagoon.

I didn’t like it I didn’t know is just one fan in the hotel room and no ac and the hotel looks like is in the ruins

This property is located in one of the best areas in Laguna Bacalar
