Pleasure by the sea

I really enjoyed my stay. The breakfast was amazing and Julie & Wilson are very welcoming. The breakfast routine is simple, pick a time, what you want to eat and prepare to be wowed. The bed was very comfy and little touches like hot chocolate in the room, very much appreciated. I used the hotel as a base for my exploration of the west coast.

Very quiet. New room. Excellent value

Stayed with a colleague in a twin room. The room appeared to be recently refurbished. Fresh milk provided in a fridge, much nicer than uht cartons. The room is absolutely silent. Nice heavy door, good windows. That's the most important thing for me as I hate noise when I need to sleep. Couldn't hear a thing even though we were next to the breakfast room.

Beautiful Guest House

Beautiful guest house just a couple of minutes from the long sandy beach in Ayr. Fantastic location for walking and just a few minutes to the town center. Our room was pristine, it even had its own small fridge, with a bottle of chilled water and fresh milk. The room also has a microwave. There's a choice of cooked breakfast, which was just perfect.

The whole time we felt welcomed in this beautifully appointed guesthouse. So comfortable, with everything we needed. The breakfast - wow! Splendid! And they provided some blackcurrant jam, specially for me, very happy.

Absolutely loved my stay here! I was warming welcomed by Wilson on arrival and given everything I needed. The room was exceptional, spotlessly clean and had everything anyone would need! The bed was so comfortable! Superb freshly made breakfast in the morning with a range of cereals, yogurts, fruit, toast etc. I’ll definitely be back! Thank you for being amazing hosts!

I would highlight the property architecture, the decoration, and in terms of comfort the quality of the cotton of our bedding. Our breakfast was cooked to a good standard, the products tasted good and were sourced locally. The options beside the breakfast range from protein bars, to actimel, options that were new to myself.

A fab stay!!!

A fab stay!!! A and very friendly welcome and stay throughout from Wilson and Julie at bythesea which is situated close to the beach and within easy walking distance to the town. Our room and en suite were both spotlessly clean. Our room was cosily warm with a super comfy bed, quality bedding and large bath sheet towels. Breakfast was beautifully presented and consistently cooked to the highest standard with quality produce. Kept us full all day until our evening meal ! On street parking was easy with a free permit provided and the street is very quiet. We would definitely recommend staying here and will do again ourselves when next visiting Ayr.

We decided last minute to look for an overnight stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I found this property was available & what a find. I received a text from Wilson introducing himself asking when we would’ve arriving. When booking it stated check in from 3:30pm. Wilson advised that our room would be available at 12pm. I found this a very nice touch. We arrived & Wilson made us feel very welcome & provided us with a parking permit. The room is exactly as the pictures show. We had a great night sleep. The breakfast this morning made by Julie was amazing, so much so we didn’t need a lunch. We would definitely recommend BytheSea & will make a point of returning. Beautiful guest house with very friendly hosts.
