Lovely, artistically decorated boutique hotel in centre of Avignon. Three serious issues--the first not related to the hotel. Rental car GPS had no clue how to navigate within the city walls, so had to wing it. The second issue was directions received to find Parking. These were unusable as manager does not drive, so streets indicated were not reachable and we got lost and went in circles. Finally a kind lady found us, and as she left the old city, said "Suivez-moi" and led us to the only parking garage within the city walls at the north end--and about 15 minute walk from the hotel. The third issue was knowledge of local sites. We found a brochure in the lobby for a very good winery--Brotte, but manager had no clue where it was, so GPS to the rescue. Otherwise, not sure how we would have gotten there.

Hello,I am sorry if our explanations were not clear enough for you. There are several car parks with entrances at the ramparts. The intra-muros is rather to be practiced on foot.Best regards,Mathilde

Great little place. very central. Very friendly staff. Limited breakfast. They make you use mobile phone as room key which we found cumbersome and time consuming.

Location and staff of the hotel are excellent. But the room had unpleasant odor due to humidity and old carpet. Accordingly the towels felt damp.

We stayed at this hotel for one night in August and had a pleasant experience. Our room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is centrally located, placing you right in the heart of the action. However, it can be noisy at times, and road closures may occur during local festivities. On the positive side, the hotel offers easy access to main attractions, shopping, and excellent dining options. We also enjoyed a delightful breakfast at the hotel.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Regina Hotel. I thought it offered excellent value for money and its location was just superb. A 10 minute flat walk from the station past the main shops and tourist office. Just past the hotel and in you're surrounded by excellent eateries and all the key attractions are a short walk away. All the staff - especially the night porter - were helpful when a problem was encountered. The bed was comfortable - although it had a leg splayed sideways which I only noticed on my last day but it held up OK! There was no armchair as such but the deskchair was comfortable. Other furniture was basic but adequate. The shower and bathroom facilities were clean and worked well. I had 2 small balconies in my room, which was very pleasant. The building itself was a traditional French classic with lovely stonework and wrought iron balconies. I'd avoid the breakfast: for 14 euros it was basic but did offer an array of meats and cheeses and bread. However, just outside the door there are cafes offering much fresher, more wholesome food - eg 'Petit dejeuner Tonique' for 10 euros in the Festival cafe next door included fresh orange juice, with a hot drink, lovely bread, jam & croissant. An excellent hotel - I'm older, have mobility issues and was travelling alone but I felt safe and listened to. I'd happily stay here again.
