John was excellent (property manager), for the price the bed was awful. Great location to the beach and no on site parking was rough.

Leslie, Thanks for taking time to write a review and for mentioning specific areas we can improve. We became aware the bed in that room had some issues late in the Summer and unfortunately could not get it replaced prior to your stay. We will be replacing it this week. As for the parking we try as hard as we can to be transparent that it is on street parking only. Unfortunately parking is difficult everywhere on a holiday weekend. We wish there was more we could do to fix this issue. John does an amazing job of keeping a quality property clean inside and out. Even his corner cafe is great…it’s our favorite affordable getaway at the shore. Beach chairs provided is a nice touch, and he’s always available to help if a problem arises. Don’t hesitate…nice, easy, affordable and clean.

I didnt like how the studio was not advertised as a basement unit or that there was a mini van parked inches from our entrance/window. My husband also hit his head in the entrance so hard that it knocked the lense out of his glasses. There should be yellow caution sign or some type of warning when stepping down and we are fairly short compared to most. The floors were not only dirty but very sandy. Other than that the sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable. Well maintained area and great location right off the beach. Would be nice to add another hook on the shower curtain so it closes with ease. Parking situation is OK when there id available parking.

Hayley, Thanks for taking time to write a review. I'm sorry our studio unit did not meet your expectations. Honestly most of our customers who rent this unit enjoy it very much and many rent it again and again. It is very spacious, generally quiet, has a full set of kitchen amenities and most like that it is at the sidewalk level with only two steps down instead of the 10 to 20 steps up to many of our other rooms.I can understand if you had a different expectation how this may be disappointing. We do our best to list each of our units as accurately as possible and use very recent and accurate pictures. Unfortunately when using a third party site to book rooms you and we are at the mercy of their constraints. While on our own website we are very clear this is a ground floor unit and that it has lower than normal ceilings (6'4" to 7 feet in most of it) there is no way within Expedia and Hotels.com to include this information.I am very surprised that you indicated the floors were dirty and sandy because I personally inspected this room after our housekeepers cleaned it and know the floors were clean and free of sand. I can only assume that given the amount of sand in close proximity due to our closeness to the beach that it must have blown in or came in while you were loading your belongings.Again we are sorry we did not meet your expectations and hope you were able to enjoy your time here in spite of the problems.

Room smelled very moldy / musty. Possibly from last tenant..

Christopher,I want to apologize and let you know to contact me directly as I would like to make this up to you. The guests who checked out the day you arrived apparently saturated a chair and parts of the carpet with what I believe was ocean water which left an odor. We did our best to dry things out and eliminate the odor but based on your feedback and after we went to clean the room after your departure it returned. I have closed the room temporarily while we steam clean the carpets and the chair until the odor is gone. Again I am very sorry this disrupted your stay. This is not a normal situation. I would like to make this up to you so I do hope you will contact me.

Dingy not appealing

Part of a long trip. Near the beach. Very dark a dingy hotel. With steep steps no breakfast, no parking, shared fridge, only a couple of restaurants near by. Didn’t open our blinds for the three days we were there. No view other than close up windows.

Annette, We are sorry you did not seem to enjoy your three days with us. Most of our guests really enjoy our little hotel but I know we are not a good fit for everyone. Your review seems to make me think you were surprised we do not offer breakfast. There is no indication on the listing that we offer this so I'm sorry if that was not more clear to you.Ventnor is a beautiful but small beach town so we are quite happy we have a number of excellent restaurants within close walking distance and others a bit further. Within two blocks we have North Beach Cafe & Creamery, Megu Sushi, Puglia (Authentic Italian), Aroma (American Italian), Yama (sushi), WaWa (subs and sandwiches), Sac O Subs, and Nucky's Speakeasy and Ktichen. Then About a 15 minute walk is The Dorset, PJ Buckets, Ventnor Coffee, and Red Room Cafe, and Ryfe bar and grill. I guess if you come from a larger city this would seem like "just a couple" but for most of our guest they are thrilled with the variety of options so close by.We try to be as clear as possible that the only parking is on the street. Again I am very sorry if this was confusing for you. At the time you were here I'd be very surprised if you had any difficult finding parking withing a block or two (closer than most parking garages in the casinos to a guest room).It is true our rooms really don't have views and we don't advertise that we do. We are in the middle of the beach block so there are buildings on each side of us. I do hope you ventured out of your room and at least enjoyed our front porch which has very nice views of the ocean just 250 feet down the street.Again we are sorry you were disappointed. If you return to the area I expect you would be much more satisfied in one of the high rise boardwalk casinos which would have all the amenities you are looking for including a view from your room.
