Well decorated, but the bathroom wasn’t clean, Onsen was burning hot, washing machine didn’t work, they have a book of rules, and I got locked out at 9:25PM. I rarely write bad reviews, but this place was not good.

Love the house style, but beds are horrible
Posted 9 Aug 2020 on HotelsThe house, the open-air bath, and the staff are all amazing. The house is clean and renewed well, not showing its age at all. Kitchen is clean, bathroom is modern. Location is a 5m hilly walk away from nearest train station, not a problem for me.
The single, biggest issue is that the "beds" in the house are thin pads on top of hardwood frames - absolutely zero comfort. It's worse than a traditional futon on tatami. Might be tolerable for people who sleep on your back, but otherwise, if you want a good night's rest: avoid.

Good for broke students, not much else
Posted 24 Feb 2020 on HotelsI can see it being a good place for large friend groups. That's pretty much where the positives end. It's a share house style place, entry door is open 24/7 so anyone can come and go. The house is old, smells, noisy (neighbors and wind). They basically took a traditional house, threw in a bunch of random crap and call it a guest house. Pick somewhere else unless you have absolutely no choice.

Place was hard to find. Small room, not very clean.
