"The hotel has a newly renovated antique feeling. Our room was big, nicely illuminated by 2 big windows, with beautiful view. The bed lamps were LED with changeable color and USB plug. The bath looked newly renovated with an antique vanity. 10 min walk to old town. 30 min walk to Pena castle. Big private parking. The breakfast room was big, with big windows with nice view over the city. Many transportation availability (bus, taxi, Uber). Nice and friendly staff."

"Our host Armie made our stay pleasant, she was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was great! The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. "Absolutely gorgeous property! 10/10 would stay again. It was perfectly located for everything I wanted to see in Sintra. The breakfast was also stellar! "The best place if you want to visit Quinta da Regaleira, Pena Palace and Moorish Castle. Steps away from restaurants and shops. The bus stop is right next to the hotel. "The hotel was located on the slope which you need to walk with care from slipping. Is dangerous for old people. The room is a good size to place luggage’s. Shower water pressure is great. But the toilet area is tight if the person is big size might have a hard time getting in. Does not have space to place toiletries at the sink area."

"Unique and interesting property. We stayed 2 days and received a complimentary upgrade to a large suite. Weather was rainy and cold, so we didn't get to enjoy the outdoor sitting area, but it looked lovely. Breakfast very good and our hostess congenial. Only criticism is that tables and chairs were very small and cramped for eating."

"The Chalet Saudade is a feal gem! The property is a beautiful home with 3 floors of guestrooms below the main floor reception and sun room. We had an incredible large suite with entry hall, kitchenette, large bathroom, large bedroom with stone walls, comfy beds and a big screen TV. It also included living room and a door out to a private yard and access to an incredible garden. Breakfast was included at the nearby Cafe Saudade, and included fresh fruit smoothies, fresh bread, eggs, yogurt, granola and fresh fruit,served by friendly and attentive ladies. The only drawwback to this absolutely great spot is the semi-treacherous narrow winding stairs down to the room. There are less treacherous stairs up through the garden, but this is a challeng if you have large suitcases. Pack light and enjoy this enchanting place!"

"The only way to describe this hotel is oppulent. I felt like a celebrity in the room we got with the gigantic bed, marble everywhere and intricate decor. The check in was marvelous. They provide a full, made to order breakfast every morning with the most delicious fruit platter I have ever eaten. The sister hotel has wine and cheese each evening and we even got to see a fado show one day. The restaurant across the street was also sublime. One of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. I will definitely stay there when I go to Sintra again."
