Visit Aspire Tower, one of the tallest and most striking buildings in Doha and Qatar. The structure was completed in 2007 and contains a five-star hotel with exciting amenities. Be impressed as you gaze toward the top of the 984-foot-tall (300-meter) building and step inside to experience its luxury.
Construction of the tower was initiated in 2005 to be ready to hoist the Symbolic Flame of the 2006 Asian Games, when Qatar was a host nation. Watch a video of the lighting, with SheikhMohammed Bin Hamad Al Thani riding his horse up a steep ramp to the height of the Khalifa International Stadium to light the symbolic cauldron. Amid fireworks and music, the flame appeared at the top of the tower.
After the games, the 51-story tower quickly became one of the city of Doha’s favorite hotels. Consider a stay in a luxurious room with iPad control of in-room amenities, including 12 different color choices for mood lighting. Swim in the pool cantilevered 260 feet (80 meters) above the ground. Dine at the revolving restaurant with 360-degree views over the city or one of the tower’s other restaurants and cafés.
Be sure to step outside the tower to see it illuminated after dark by thousands of LED lights with eclectic color themes.
