Centrally located in the city of Ashland, WI. The hotel has some great historic charm, but it could use a few updates. It's probably one of the better choices in the area.

Thank you for your recent stay. While the lakeview rooms are sometimes preferred , less expensive city rooms are adequate for many because there are common spaces both inside and out.

The staff was awesome and very knowledgeable about places to see and things to do. The breakfast was good and the stuff was never let thinks run out.

The first thing you notice driving up is the grand elegance of the bldg. Once inside, the rich wood accents and old check-in counter carry the elegance inside, along with the vintage furnishings. The rooms ceiling was 12' which made the room seem even bigger, although the room was spacious enough. The staff was friendly and efficient. The breakfast was good and kept well stocked no matter the time.
I was not thrilled with the paper products supplied in the room. They were rather harsh . Excellent place to stay and will come again.
