We have stayed a number of times with our children and without on a spa day trip. Libby area and dining / bar areas are good as are the rooms and cleanliness / tidiness. However, the pool and sap area desperately needs updating. The steam room was out of order, sauna falling apart and jacuzzi working for 15mins in and 15mins off. Swimming lessons were going on in the pool which restricts its use. The changing rooms are too small and not mopped regularly, the hairdryer doesn’t actually reach to above your head. It’s a shame that this area lets down the rat of the hotel. The offers you can take advantage of before your stay are more hassle than they’re worth.

All the staff were lovely. Got a refund as hot tub and steam room weren't working as this was one of the reasons i booked this hotel

The staff I encountered during my stay were exceptional, but clearly dealing with being overworked, the ratio of staff to guests seemed somewhat low, though I must stress they delivered great service. The property is clearly in need of further refurbishing in areas, supported by the fact the fire alarm sounded no fewer than 7 times during the evening!

The hotel itself is lovely, very tidy and elegant feel. Rooms are spacious and beds are very comfy. The only let down would be the overall service. The bar would take over 15mins to make drinks, or completely ignore you. We ordered cocktails that were out of a “pre mix” bottle for £12 and then to make it worse were put into wrong / warm glasses. Food was fine but plates never cleared all evening, no napkins etc.. The toilet broke in our room so had constant water running all evening which was a shame.

My stay here was quite pleasant. I was away for the weekend with my partner, my best friend and her partner, so we were all booked under the same reference. The rooms are quite spacious, but our aircon was not working the whole time we were there and the windows have a safety catch on them. The location is brilliant and the car park is good, although it does fill up quite quickly. The pool was lovely, as was the sauna and steam room. The hot tub was cold. We were told that it would be fixed the next day; however, it was not. I was told I had to pay a £50 holding fee via card - not too sure why, as when my friend came, they said it was mandatory and that she did not have to. The reception staff do not sing from the same hymn sheet. My friend again was told her check out could be extended for up to 2 hours for free, yet once again, I was told I would have to pay up to £10 an hour for a later check out. It made 0 sense. The breakfast was lovely and the dining staff as well as the gym/pool staff were very accommodating. Overall, it wasn’t a bad stay, great location, but I’m not too sure if I would come back due to the inconsistencies

Loved the downstairs decor and bar facilities.Breakfast had fantastic selection. Noisy occasionally with doors slamming in the night.

Perfect stay away with the fur baby .. it’s a busy hotel and breakfast did get very busy - but gave it a bit of time the staff worked very hard to deliver no complaints and thanks for a nice stay
