Aisling Guest House - no-frills
Posted 2 Jan 2016
Cons: The personal touch, and if no one is available to at least have clear instructions on where to find the switch for the lights.
No-frills service: manager never showed up: accessible only via key-pad (intercom), we requested early breakfast (we're told breakfast area would be unlocked in the morning, which was... but we couldn't find the lights switch: not fun with two little kids, one of whom is afraid of darkness).

Perfect for Dublin Airport
Posted 16 Sep 2015
Pros: location was great for airport
Cons: Bathroom fans could be quieter.
Overall was a good value. The fans in the bathroom were so loud however, my neighbor had theirs on and it was like sleeping next to a jet engine. Ear plugs are good. The manager was great. Very nice and accomodating. It was perfect to get to the airport within 30 mins.

Solid, cheap B&B
Posted 18 Jun 2015 on HotelsThe owner was awesome and super helpful... even after I accidently checked out a day early. We got another room right away with no issues. The rooms are exactly what I would expect for a bed and breakfast, so don't expect to be going to a five star hotel. Bring a hairdryer, the two we used were broken. Food was excellent!

Double charged for a cold room.
Posted 23 Mar 2015 on HotelsTo check into the hotel, we waited outside for about 10 minutes waiting to be buzzed in and it was around 1830. We didn't meet any staff until breakfast, which was great and perfect for children. Upon checking out, we were told our room ( which was freezing)was already charged for the two nights. We received no receipt because the owner had left. Once we arrive home, I realized that my card had been charged for our friends room also. Luckily, it was a easy fix; however, our card was charged $375 instead of $167. The hotel had both parties credit card information but he took no time to verify any details.
