"The hotel is perched on top of Ascona and isn’t in the old town but is about 10 mins walk down to the centre. There is limited hotel parking to call ahead to reserve it or else pay about 20 CHF per day at an offsite location which was a nuisance. This hotel has the ability to be nice provided it is EXTENSIVELY renovated. It is very dated but not in a charming way, it looks very tired. "Parking is a NIGHTMARE and the staff was rude about helping us figure out parking. They should really have a link that clearly tells people there is NO PARKING at the hotel and where the parking lots are located. (We had to walk .8 of a mile with our luggage which was totally unacceptable for how much we paid per night! They should have at least told us we could drive up and drop our luggage.)
