We loved stayed in on this beautifully renovated schoolhouse with its perfectly placed vintage design elements. The host was welcoming, the surroundings are gorgeous, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the food is delicious. Tack! We can’t wait to come back.

Beautiful retreat
Posted 11 Aug 2014 on HotelsWe were visiting family in this area so we decided to stay here instead of at a "regular" hotel. We only stayed one night but I wish we had stayed longer. This felt like a retreat destination rather than a hotel. We booked two triple rooms as the double rooms were booked, and they were very spacious and comfortable. The rooms were airy with large windows and the bathrooms were spacious and modern. There was a nice breakfast buffet with the standard Swedish breakfast items (meats, cheeses, breads) but also fresh fruit which we did not get in every hotel for breakfast. There is a restaraunt at which you can have dinner if you reserve in advance. You can also order a glass of wine or a beer or soda at night and relax in the comfortable common areas or on the proch/deck. There is a lake across the street and you can borrow a boat if you want -- we unfortunately did not have time for this. The surrounding area is beautiful. We would stay at this guesthouse again.
