So, lived in a room that could not be locked from outside. For room upgrade,the answer was difference between rack rate and what I paid through hotels.com. "The room partitions appeared like a IT workspace cabins. The main entrance of the facility was locked from outside and whenever guest wants to go outside, asked to call through the landline to anther place, from where a person will come open the door to let go out. The individual rooms also had three beds and guests are asked not to lock the door, when he/she is inside and locked and key is kept with the management, when we go out."

"The hotel location is not correct in Expedia. I booked it because it showed the location fairly place, BBD downtown Kolkata. It turns out the hotel is in another town, 1h outside Kolkata. It is a deceitful advertisement on Expedia page. The hotel is located off a busy road with little to no amenities around. The owner (or manager) first offered me to stay as a guest and the day after was adamant on not refunding my booking. Terrible experience if you are a foreigner. "
