"We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Pietracap. The breakfast had a good range of options and the dinners were delicious. The hotel was in an easy location for a quick drive into Bastia. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the ocean view from the room was stunning. We also loved the water fountain in the lobby for our water bottles. It was so convenient. The only things we didn't enjoy were the overly firm mattress and STRONG room perfume."

"The desk clerks at the hotel were excellent particularly Alex who did whatever she could to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We also enjoyed the food and the service in the dining room. We were very disappointed to find that there was no fridge in the room--the only hotel of the 11 on our trip. We could store things in their fridge but that is not the same. "Reviews about this hotel seem to be either great or awfull, nothing in between! So, to start, no this is not a 5* hotel! Maybe 3/4*. However, to be fair the price is not 5* either. It is a nice hotel, luxurious in it's age no doubt (50 years ago?) but still pleasant and in a great location just 5 minutes walk to the old city. Certainly it is not in a slum as someone reported. "Reluctant to write a negative review but, sadly, this motel merits a poor rating. A kind description would be rustic, an honest appraisal would be shoddy and poorly maintained. The room smelt musty, there was mould around cracked tiles in the bathroom, the windows had that hazy look of ingrained dust and grime, the bedroom carpet was ancient & stained and the fabric on the corners of the bed was ripped.
