Rural but conveniently placed for sight seeing.

Pros: The size, the well kept premises and the very kindly manner of the staff.
Cons: Some small maintenance issues in one of the rooms. Clear times of restaurant opening and closing in a variety of languages.
Location: Hotel is next to equestrian centre. Pony riding available plus other activities in the vicinity.
About I hr from Granada, Malaga, Cordoba and Ronda.
We chose the hotel for its convenient location for all the places we wished to visit during our weeks holiday. We knew it was a rural hotel but despite this our first impressions were 'where is everybody?' and 'where on earth are we?' quickly followed by 'what a beautifully kept place?'
Once settled in we were treated very kindly by all the staff and felt really at home. To begin with we seemed to be the only residential guests but after a few days we were joined by a largish party of school children on a residential holiday. This was not a problem to us as we were out all day every day until evening.
We had a lovely breakfast laid out for us each morning which we were pleasantly surprised to find, was included in the price.
On three occasions we ate an evening meal in the hotel and one evening a bar snack - all were good. These were always followed up with some small complimentary extra. On the occasions we had eaten prior to our return and just used the bar for evening drinks we were still given a variety of complimentary nibbles.
The staff went out of their way to make sure we were OK and were as helpful and friendly as the language barrier allowed.
If anyone is tired of the same bland holiday hotel experience and wants something a little more personal and 'quirky' then this small hotel in this beautiful part of Andalucia is a definite choice.

Friendly excellent value hotel
Posted 9 Apr 2018 on HotelsA very nice, but simple hotel. We had a great time staying here while going to a friend's wedding in the local area. The staff were particularly good. Despite our Spanish being almost non-existent they were very nice and accommodating. Breakfast was in the bar, with an open wood fire, which was lovely during the cold weather. Excellent value and I would definitely book again if we are ever in the area in future!

Rural Charm

Pros: Peaceful location - and no fighting for a sunbed!
Cons: Double bed was a little small - but I'm nitpicking here!
Location: Secluded but easily reached by car and close to main routes.
If you love peace and quiet - then this will be just perfect for you. Nice rooms (we had a junior suite - recommended). Good food. Lovely staff. In secluded countryside but still close enough to visit all of the main tourist sites if you wish. Best to hire a car from Malaga airport and drive to the hotel - not too hard to find - the management (led by the charming Jose) will I feel sure send you directions (they did for us).
Just relax and enjoy. We certainly did.

Idyllic Rural Hotel
Posted 30 Nov 2011 on HotelsWe chose the hotel for it's location, close to Granada and Malaga. The room was typically Spanish, with a full bathroom, air-conditioning, heating and TV.
Dinner was of exceptional quality, plenty of choice and great value for money. Breakfast was simple and fresh with cereals, toast, ham and cheese and lovely coffee. The staff made every effort to ensure we enjoyed our stay.
If you like an English hotel, this is not for you, but for us, it was a gem of a place and we will definitely return in the future.
