Amaaaazing!
Posted 25 Jul 2024 on HotelsStunning location. Immaculately clean. Able to charge our electric car was an absolute plus and a must considering the local charger was out of order. The view?! Incredible. Comfy sofa with a gorgeous fireplace listening to the sound of the waves. Heaven. The goodies given were a bonus: free range eggs, bread, fruit m, muesli, chocolate, sparkling wine all delish and very much appreciated. Spotlessly clean. Private. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Absolutely loved the place, and so did the kids . Spacious yet cosy, very well maintained, amply stocked to do your own cooking and washing, beachfront and 2mins to the beach. Having the Koala sanctuary with the 2 "resident" koalas for the kids to spot everyday was brilliant. Lili was always responsive and accommodating, and by chance meeting her in person, checking in with us to make sure we were OK was so nice. Left this place with a heavy heart (the entire family) but with so many memories and photos to bring with us. Will definitely come back to stay. Stayed 5D4N and wished i could have stayed longer. Definitely a place to consider for those staying in Apollo Bay or those thinking of this as abse to travel around the region

breathtaking view

I am sorry that the WiFi was not working properly during your stay. Limited by the physical location of Chocolate Gannets, we have tried all types of internet connection and have chosen the fastest option available which is based on using Telstra’s 4GX network with a high capacity modem. This system works well most of the time, except when the 4GX tower is overloaded due to increased demand in town. Over summer the population increases ten fold in town, and so the mobile network tower is overloaded.
Out of peak season we can easily get download speeds of up to 250mbps, but during summer it can drop off below 5mbps.
I understand it can be frustrating, our apologies. We even contacted NBN suppliers to get a quote on an extension from the closest node but it was in the hundreds of thousands - economically prohibitive unfortunately. We are always on the lookout for a better option to improve the service for our guests.

First it was a little hot when I got there and turn on the air with the fan on high. In one hour it did not change the temp at all. I checked the vent and a little cool air was coming out with it on high. Bugs every where!!! Even woke up in the morning with a very big spider. There are ways to stop the bugs. I was ex sighted about the tub hmm but there was a black hair in there and a worm. I cleaned it out and 1/3 of the jets did not work and the ones that did had no power at all. I tried to open the door where the tub was but it was dragging on the bottom and would not open. I needed a very good cleaning. I went into the bathroom and there was water outside the shower like someone just was taking a shower. The only thing was good was the lady I called was very lovely.
