For the price, the room was cramped and tiny. The laundry facility was a welcome relief, though the dryers were slow, and consequently expensive. It was pretty hard to find a place to eat dinner, other than the izakayas (i.e., bars.)

Very Uncomfortable - Avoid This Place

Very uncomfortable beds and pillows, tiny double bed. Had to change rooms to twin beds to get a decent night's sleep and even then the pillows gave us back and neck pain. No A/C, the entire building has central heat and air and since it was late April they had not yet switched over to A/C. The room on the 7th floor was unbearably hot even though it was only 75F outside. Slow wifi, tiny bathroom with sink and shower sharing same water supply. Only 1 staff member even basic English and she was the new trainee. When I complained to the manager his response was to suggest I change to another hotel in the middle of my stay. Would never stay here again.

The location is an 8-10 mins walk from Aomori station so you don’t need to take the bus. The bus route from the station can be very confusing so walking is better. From the hotel, it’s about 10-15 mins walk to the other tourist areas. The breakfast buffet had local items but they were only written in Japanese so I couldn’t read what they were. I only had rice, miso based soup and natto which are the only ones I know besides bread. I wish there was egg at least. The staff were very nice even with their limited English. The room itself feels smaller than usual. The bathroom tub is so narrow that the shower kept splashing over the curtains so the floor got wet. Also, the building is old and it has a bit of an odour from the carpet maybe? The elevator smells of cigarette which had been stuck there for years.
