In the USA , this property is comparable to. Fairfield Inn by Marriott. We paid a premium to have Ocean view. The room is basic: hair dryer, fridge, hot pot and tea.
The pool on the ocean side is small and has a small bar cafe. The staff were nice.
We previously stayed at the Marriott Resort and Spa on Merlin Beach in Phuket. This property is much more basic.
When we checked in, the staff member had us download their app. It was a bit flakyy to use.

I have NO CLUE how this was rated wonderful. The place smells of mold and kids run wild unattended yelling and screaming in the hallways. There was nothing relaxing about it at all. I had to use my inhaler because I was having difficulty breathing and was wheezing and had horrible headaches, itchy watery eyes and nose only while in the room. I sleep on the porch. Continually brought to the attention of front desk and security and housekeeping and when we checked out. We asked what the smell was and were told it was mold and I already knew it was mold. Horrible place

Buffet breakfast wasn’t the greatest and some items were not refilled, my kids wanted flavoured milk at 7am but it was empty on consecutive days. Room cleaning each day seemed rushed and incomplete (left birthday cake plates and cutlery for 2 days, we had to take it out ourselves). The resort itself is great. The location is fantastic, close to the beach, restaurants and shops. I would come back.
