Simple, and has potential, but...

I got in late and left fairly early, so didn't spend much time there. My room had a bug issue and didn't smell so fresh. Also didn't have hot water in the morning - but that got fixed after I told the person at breakfast. Simple, and has potential, but could use a little freshening up.

Good service, bad WiFi

Good service, room ok, very bad WiFi, location not so good, go out at night and you can see nothing, the road is all dark without any street lights.

Friendly and nice

The people there were very nice, the breakfast wasn't bad, just that there was several cockroaches in the room and bathroom, and the internet wifi connection was too weak you can't get any signal inside the room, if you need to use wifi you'll have to use it in the lobby which is an open space full of mosquitoes. Fortunately, the hotel hangs a mosquito net above every bed which is useful keeping the mosquitoes away during your sleep.

you get what you pay for

We stayed here for one night and found the hotel to be decent. The bed is quite comfortable and the room is fine by Sri Lankan guest house standards. The bathroom is also okay. Not spotless but also not a cesspool for disease like other barhrooms we have encountered on our trip. There are some okay areas to lounge in. The service is a little slow. However, if need be they can set you up with a driver. They set us up with Omesh who is actually also the guy who runs the place. He speaks very good English and drives less hazardously than other Sri Lankans we have tried. All in all an okay place for the money you pay.
