Fantastic hotel, friendly staff, great food, lovely service, perfect location for touring the town. Rent a bicycle from the property and see the city!

Good hotel
Posted 15 Aug 2018 on HotelsLovely hotel. Friendly staff. Good service. Nice clean room. Restaurant good. Nice pool area. Only downside is that there is not WiFi in the rooms, only in the communal area. Would recommend.

Nice hotel with good restaurant
Posted 18 Jun 2018Overall I quite liked this hotel! The interior is nice and the rooms spacious. The staff at the front desk were a little odd, but perhaps there was a language issue. The pool was nice, and the restaurant was good.
One thing to note, while the room itself (and the pool) were very nice, the top level of the hotel was unfinished when we stayed... as in, the stairway led up to an uncovered roof with wires and planks, and at the top of the stairs was just a hole where a door should have been (as in, you could walk right off of the building!).
The unfinished story should not affect most people's stay; just something to be aware of when traveling with kids..

Friendly staff
Posted 5 Jan 2018 on HotelsWhen checking in they tried to give us double rooms only, rather than the triples that had been booked. We are a family of 5 so needed two rooms, especially as we have 3 children with us. We've had this issue at all the hotels in Sri Lanka that we have stayed in. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was nice.

Missed booking leading to poor room.
Posted 7 Jan 2017 on HotelsAlthough we booked 2 rooms only 1 was available. As a result we got 1 'other' room which likely is normally not rented out. No chairs/table, no tea-making, poor bathroom condition, Balcony with a view on a tree (coming in the balcony) and a trash area. Although they told they would add chairs and table, they never did.

Great stay
Posted 21 Aug 2016 on HotelsThe service was exceptional, and the room was excellent. The bathroom was very clean, as were the linens. Our room had 2 balconies, which was a nice surprise.
The restaurant had great food and at reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend it. Even if you don't stay there, I would suggest trying the restaurant.
It appears that they are still constructing the top floor though this did not cause any disturbance for us. I don't think any work was done on it during our stay.
