Would not go back
Posted 3 Oct 2019 on HotelsNo lift but owner, Paul, carried our small bags to second floor. The B &B is in a 100 year old building which was up graded windows, fixtures, but the stairs very narrow and steep. It would be very discult for a strong man to carry a large suitcase up the stairs because you must hold on to the hand rail as to climb and a large bag would'nt fit in stair well.
Bed spread and pillow cases didn't seem clean.

I'm very sorry but we have our b&b since more than 15 years. I cannot change the stairs in an old and historical house. As you mentioned I helped you with the luggage.
About the cleanliness we are changing the sheets and clean everytime when we have new guests.
Sorry that you didn't make the remark while staying because than I could have do something about it.

Location and Hosts were wonderful

Ideal place to stay and explore Antwerp

Pros: Everything, it's right in the city, fab accommodation with fab host easy to get to everywhere you'd want to visit.
Cons: We loved it but the staircase is steep and narrow. I don't think that could or should be changed but with a disability you might struggle.
Location: Right in the city so near everything. There is a fabulous ice cream parlour right next door which is a must. Lots of places to eat n drink nearby.
We arrived at B&B because the night and were greeted by Paul. He helped us with our bags, he helped my husband find a place to park then showed us around our room on the top floor which was great. The room had everything you would need for a great stay, massive bed, kitchen if like us you like to have a brew and your breakfast before setting out to explore, and great shower room. Paul is a great host telling us all about Antwerp and the best places to walk around, or visit, get a local beer marking places on a map for us to get our bearing from. It's right in the city so great to visit all the sites. Wish we had booked a longer stay.

Great place in the heart of Antwerp
Posted 26 Oct 2017 on HotelsWe were greeted by friendly owner Paul and helped with parking (there's free parking in a square very nearby), and he made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. The room we had was well kitted out, (including fridge, nice shower, nifty lighting system!) pleasant (lovely big windows), clean and comfortable (mattress was really good). It was in a great location, walking distance from everywhere, with loads of nice eating and drinking places around. If we are back in Antwerp we would love to stay here again!
