Rated 2 star which is about right. It is a well worn hotel, but everything seemed to work. Good mattress, large shower, working aircon, hot water reliable and a decent little pool with sun loungers. Must admit i wasn't expecting much reading the reviews, none of which were very recent, but it was ok and in a great location. Oddly, they dont want you to take any food or drink into rooms and there is no kettle provided, which is a pain. Somone complained that they insist you leave keys at reception when you go out, but i cant see the problem as reception is open 24hrs. Cleaning seems to be on a casual basis, but not a big issue. They do a decent breakfast which was a very modest 5€\200TRY. I believe they do food during the day/evening but i didnt try it. All in all, you get what you pay for here, and itvis fairly cheap.

I was relocated to this hotel by the Expedia relocation team, as my previous booking was canceled at Dogan Hotel ( the room was not available). The hotel proposed me two variants: very noisy family room and completely not renovated room, more calm near pool. My choice for 1st night was this "calm" room. During the night I realized how strong is the smell of mold from bathroom, no TV working, no wardress. So, the night was nightmare. Second night I spend in the family room with also mold smell in bathroom and very kith decoration, without antimoskito protection at the windows and very noisy. Breakfast was very poor. It was necessary even ask the water. Disappointing stay at this hotel. In the same time hotel is salling the kilims (tapestries). The kitchen is situated in the same area with storage of the kilims. So smell of old tapestries is everywhere. After my reviews to Expedia, I received few aggressive messages from owner accusing me for my opinion. So I am really feeling bad because of this relocation to this so call "hotel'. I feel like I really need the compensation from Expedia for the mistake made during my first reservation with Dogan hotel and for relocation me in the Hadrian Gate Hotel where I spent two nights in nightmare style. Thanks for your consideration of this.

in fact, you are very right when you were in the middle, we hosted you, we accommodated you, we did not leave you in the middle, we did not have a reservation with us, you were the guest of the hotel that was born and we offered you the rooms we had, and you stayed with pleasure and you are commenting here even though you have no interest in us, unfairly ......

Looking at the actual hotel website it mentioned an indoor pool and turkish bath not something i saw at hotel!!! The gym was a folded away running machine and tired bike outside! I was moved from 3 bed deluxe?? Room which didnt have an outside space, but was moved to bungalow room with terrace after 2 nights. There was sign saying dont bring food or drink in, but fridge wS in room. People friendly enough but a very basic room and hotel. Yes i would use again but my expectancy would not be based on official website which is inaccurate!!

Very quiet (room facing the garden) and comfortable. Friendly staff. Excellent choice at breakfast. Great location.

Disappointing hotels are

Started off well,then the room was,nt cleaned.Apparently we had to ask.The last of the three days we arrived for breakfast at 8 and next to nothing was available..no bread, no coffee etc.The man in charge was watching T.V.We thought that lunches or dinner might be on offer, but no luck.There were good restaurants nearby,so no problem.

Charming hotel

What a lovely and charming place. From the carved wooden ceiling in the foyer and breakfast room to the adequately sized bedroom. We stayed for 11 days in a room with a balcony overlooking the pool and it was so quiet. The pool area is lovely with plenty of sun-beds and umbrellas. Staff even supplied us with teas and coffees while we lazed around the pool. Plenty of choice at breakfast with fruit, salads, cheeses etc. Very clean room with frequent changes of towels and bed linen. The bathroom was a decent size with a good shower and no shortage of hot water. The hotel location is great - just a short walk from Hadrian Gate. It's so quiet you wouldn't think you were so close to plenty of bars and restaurants. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, especially Mehmet. I had an issue with my bank while there but he went out of his way to get it sorted for me, even accompanying me to the bank. I couldn't have asked for more. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you want a homely, friendly yet quiet stay.
