Prior to checking in, I exchanged e-mails with a staffer named Mehdi. I told him I was deathly allergic to smoke inhalation, I was allergic to strong smells and that I did not use drugs, never had, never will. While the taxi driver and I brought my luggage to the front door, I noticed a skinny, white man all dressed in black, smoking a cigarette right next to entrance door. I rang the door's bell while the skinny man used his hotel card to open it. Then, he started to touch my luggage, som Through my actions, I showed that guy I neither needed nor wanted his help. There was this instance where I reached for a suitcase and he did it immediately after me. His head was almost under my nose. In a commanding tone of voice, I said: "Stay away from me." The man walked to a reading room first and then disappeared. Next, my check-in was processed. In the apartment, the trash can had trash from the previous guest. There were no dish towel in the kitchen and no brush and dust pan. The frying pan had not been washed. For a multiple day stay, they left one dishwasher tablet. Once I settled in the room, I used my phone's spy gadget detector apps. I covered what the apps found and the room became quieter There is a train running at short intervals, which you hear every time. The surrounding area of the hotel does not feel safe.

Very close to train and tram stations making transportation very convenient.

Hôtel près tramway pour aller Genève

Hotel a 10 minutes de marche près du tramway (Ligne 17) pour aller visiter Genève. Même si le train passe derrière hôtel on ne l'entend pas.

I stayed in Annemasse as it is less than half an hour from Geneva and much cheaper. The surrounding area of the hotel is terrible. while that's nothing the hotel can help, this would be a strong reason not to visit again. The train tracks run right past the hotel, and the train runs until late - it gets loud. My room smelled strongly of smoke, which the very nice staff was aware about. They very helpfully offered to give me another room, due to my short stay I declined. Weirdly, opening the window, which I had to since the fan in the room wasn't working, made the smell worse. The bathroom was very clean, however, there were stains on the bedsheets and covers. Again, I'm sure staff would've helped, but I chose to turn the sheets over myself - my concern is more that this was a problem in the first place. You can also hear the noise from every neighbouring room. There was a kitchen with a small hob that also wasn't fully clean, so I didn't use it. I wouldn't have minded any of this so much, but the hotel holds a deposit of 150 Euros on your credit card in case issues arise, if you use a practice like this, your hotel should be clean so guests don't fear for their deposit, I think.

Good size rooms with a small kitchen, good breakfast provided. 5 min walk from station. No air conditioning, so rooms can get quite warm.

Perfectly accommodating

This was perfect for our needs. Right by the train station. They weee able to accommodate three adults in perfectly comfortable beds (3 twin) they had soap in the shower, a kitchen sink with dishes and a kettle for our tea! They even had a fan which made sleeping more comfortable. It was perfect!
