Stay away from this hotel
Posted 25 May 2023 on HotelsThe best thing about this hotel is its location, The room I have is very noisy, the bed was tidy and clean but not comfortable.
I booked a room for £125 online but ended up paying £135 at the hotel as the owner has his own change rate.
will never stay there again.

Posted 21 Jun 2019 on HotelsI would 100 percent stay here again and recommend it to others. The place was in a great neighborhood, near the ruin bars but still very quiet. Everything was sparkling clean, we had a fridge in our room, the AC worked well, and there is an elevator. Close to a metro station as well. The family that runs this guesthouse is also very nice.

Basic but sufficient for our needs

Plenty of good food to eat and drink. I was expecting more but if you are just happy with the basics then i would recommend it for a weekend away for a few guys.
If it is a couple i would suggest looking for something else.
Bathroom was basic but clean. Supplied with a fridge (in the room) and a shared kitchen was situated near the reception.
I would have preferred to have paid by credit card, but cash was only allowed.
Beds were ok but hard, sufficient for our needs.

Excellent Location

This hotel is 1/2 block from the Oktegon Metro Station, 1/2 block from the 105 Bus Line which takes you directly to the bottom of Buda Castle, and 1/2 block from the local grocery store. The room has a refrigerator so it makes it convenient. The rooms are adequately sized, but was disappointed that you must pay extra daily charge if you want air conditioning in the room. Upon request they did provide a fan in the room, as an alternative to paying the additional daily charge for air conditioning.

Cheap, centrally-located, no-frills room

- Good location
- Secure entry to the building and the rooms (on the 5th floor)
- Inexpensive
Cons:
- Requested a room with 3 twin beds, got a room with a double and a twin instead.
- AC is an additional 5 EUR/night, and there is no fan. Stayed during the summer so the room was quite warm at night.

Bed was a bit small for 2 big guys, but all arrangements and payments were smooth, and the location is super for getting around town. Would like a 'do not disturb'-sign for those persistent hangovers. Shower was unimpressive, but the service was always with a smile :-)

Important tip: Make sure you tell the owner when you are arriving! His contact details are given, and he also emailed us a reminder the day before. He is not always around, so it's important to call/email him if you want to check in promptly.
Pros:
- Location is close to the popular tourist attractions
- Street is full of pubs and bars, as well as restaurants
- There is a common kitchen and lounge available to all the tenants (microwave, stove, fridge and things like plates, bowls, pots, cutlery etc).
Cons:
- If your room faces out to the street, it is very noisy! We stayed in the one facing the interior courtyard, which was quiet
- There is no air conditioning in the rooms. And additional fee is charged for AC.
- Payment is in cash only
