A wonderful room with a view. Not far to walk to the pier and the gondola. Plenty, if not too much, snow on the top of the mountains.

Great location near the scenic Romsdal gondola and near a number of good restaurants. The area is walkable and many excursions are book able nearby. Plentiful breakfast.

Beautiful location next to the Romsdaleggen gondola and hiking . Bathrooms were so small that shower door had to be open to sit on the toilet :) Great breakfast at the restaurant and delicious dinner .

This is a very charming hotel in a lovely setting. It is basic but excellent. We had a spacious room with a balcony and awesome views. I highly recommend it.

What a view from the room! Arrived by train. Short walk back down the tracks, take bridge over tracks, turn left one block, turn right one block. Very nice room and great breakfast. Nespresso coffee machine in room. Staff were so nice. Loved it!

Excellent location, amazing staff !! When we arrived at Oslo airport, my jetlagged bf put in the wrong hotel and we ended up 4 hours away!! The staff were so helpful and guided us with the quickest route and even called us back (when we got disconnected in a tunnel). Breakfast was delicous - very fresh lovely breakfast buffet. The staff went above and beyond - excellent service!! We highly recommend taking the Ramsdalen gondala which had breathtaking views!!

A grand old building with a rich history - photo`s in the gallery show visits by the late Queen Prince Philip, and even Cliff Richard. Staff were extremely helpful, room was clean, bed very comfortable. Only criticism would be that the curtains are not blackouts so the midnight sun late May was a little disruptive. Murals of crazy rock climbers in the room were a reminder that the town is dedicated to sporty adventurers. The restaurant is excellent, which is fortunate as we visited just before the Summer season started and there was virtually nothing else open in town. Would definitely stay there again if we`re in the area,

The hotel is very expensive. The shower head is plastic and it looks very cheap. The bathroom has no any facial tissue. The towel doesn’t look good.The worst is the bedding looks good, but after one night sleep, I feel very itchy. Then I found there are couple small dark red stains on the bedding. Overall, it charges as a luxury hotel but its service is like a motel or even worst.

Staff was amazing. Very friendly and helpful. Parking was a mess. No spots left so had to pay $18 for 18 hours and download an app. Not fun. But at least it was close to hotel. Basic room. Big complaint is no air conditioning. But that was the same at our Alesund hotel so maybe standard for Norway? Don’t like it as room was about 72 degrees and I like it 68. You could open window but no screens. But view from room was spectacular!!! View of water fjord train station (5min walk) and mountains. Gorgeous. Would stay again.
