"Highly recommend to anyone interested in experiencing genuine Bavarian gemütlichkeit in a convenient location near Munich. The rooms were very clean, quiet and comfortable with modern bath fixtures. The food we ate in the gasthaus was fantastic, and if you're lucky enough to eat there on a Sunday you'll love the delicious desserts that are available, to include my favorite German kuchen, bienenstich. The Munchener schnitzel is worth a trip back by itself! The staff at this family-run gasthaus is very friendly, attentive, and are fluent in English for those of us that only speak a smattering of Deutsch. My wife, as well as the other couple we were traveling with, had no previous experience staying in a German gasthaus. We enjoyed our stay so much that we wanted to extend our stay, however, there was no availability of rooms. Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at Landhotel and Gasthaus Wiedmann!"

"I had a lovely stay here. The hotel was in good condition and the staff were helpful. The roof-top patio and spa area is pleasant. The immediate area is not as lovely. It is set on a fairly busy street with a Getraenkemarkt and gas station directly across - so lighted red signage is a main component of the view from the windows. It is about a 10 minute walk to the lake."

"Very nice and quiet location closed to the lake. Included Bavarian breakfast buffet is amazing. Big room, lake view, very clean, and warm staff. Careful with opening balcony door or mosquitoa will invade and disturb your sleep. Area has a lot of trails to walk around, specially nice path near lake which is fully walkable around the lake. Downside is that restaurants.are very limited, only one good one to the other hotel facing this hotel. I suggest visiting Starnberg for more options. Public transport also required 10-15 minute walk to reach nearest bus, which have a steep slope."

"The Seehof is the most perfect place to stay in Herrsching. Set directly lake-front with the most idyllic Bavarian look and feel. You truly feel like you are on a set from a movie. Directly outside the hotel is a pier where 2 gorgeous pleasure cruise boats dock and carry visitors across the beautiful lake Ammersee. The staff are helpful and pleasant. Herrsching will be your perfect lake front getaway and the Seehof will be your ideal central resting point with the most beautiful views."
