The staff, when they came out to help, was not very helpful. They locked a bit of customer service etiquette. The room looked clean, but had a bad odor to it. We will not be staying again.

The staff greeted us kindly and had great customer service. The room was nice and had great lighting. The only thing was there was moisture in the air , I thought it was because of the AC but I noticed when the sun rose there was a small gap in the front door. So the AC and outdoor air were mixing. The one thing I did enjoy was eating breakfast at an actual table in the lobby. They have waffle maker and me and my partner made some and enjoyed our morning before checkout.

This hotel was the worst I've ever experienced. Upon entering the room, we found dead roaches scattered on the floor. As we inspected further, we discovered there was no cold water, the toilet wouldn't flush properly, and we had to request a plunger. The shower was covered in mold, and the towels had unsightly brown stains. When we approached the management, they treated us as if we were overreacting and refused to refund us or address our concerns. Additionally, the breakfast provided had moldy bagels. I wouldn't let my family use the bedding, and I even had to purchase roach spray to avoid roaches crawling on us during the night. Unfortunately, this was the only hotel available in the area during our stay, so we had no choice but to endure this terrible experience. Avoid this place at all costs.

We are very sorry that your stay was not up to your standards. However you showed me a picture of one dead roach you did not mention what you thought to mold or the brown stain on the towels. For all that we are truly sorry. But I did offer to change you rooms but you elected to stay in that room. I understand that you didn't like our pet fees and you ask to have a refund on the second day. Unfortunately we can not give a refund on an internet generated reservation. As I stated you needed to contact whoever you used as a travel agent to get that done. Once again we are very sorry you were not happy. Jerry from Americas Best Value Inn of Alvin
