We visited Hotel MIO over the Christmas holiday. Upon check-in, the desk clerk asked if we would need two beds for my partner and me. This is one of my biggest pet peeves as an LGBTQ traveler. If I wanted two beds, I would have reserved a room with two beds. Once in the room, even for a european hotel, the room proved to be so small it was difficult to get in and around the bed and offered almost no storage. At breakfast the next day, we overheard homophopic slurs directed at us from one of the female waitstaff. This is unacceptable. If you're an LGBTQ traveler, I would avoid this hotel.

MIO by AMANO is centrally located. We were able to walk to Marienplatz and to the Residenz. The main train station is about a mile and so is the main bus station.
The hotel itself is clean and the room we had was spacious. The checkin/checkout process is really easy. The front desk staff were nice and helpful.
I would definitely stay there again.

This hotel was very cute and right in the center of the old town shopping district. The room and bathroom were both fairly small, but I expected that because of the location. The room didn't have many extras (no coffee, clothing iron, mini fridge, etc.). They did give guests a bottle of water daily, which was nice. I would choose this hotel again!
