Taste Matters

MY Place is located in a rather pedestrian neighborhood in Hamburg, but once one arrives at the hotel, the situation changes dramatically. The hotel, while quite small, is very handsomely appointed, esp. the room that I stayed in which had a lovely color combination for bed, curtains, etc. Yes, the lack of an elevator could be a problem. However, the helpfulness of the staff and the other nuances of good service and facilities clearly outweighed any inconvenience. Highly recommended for single travelers and short stays.

Great room and location let down by lack of staff

I'd like to have given the hotel a better rating because the actual room was great, much better facilities than I expected for the price. The neighborhood is quiet buy only a 10 minute walk from the Reeperbahn. I can understand no one being available when I arrived at near midnight. However there was no staff on hand during the morning (8:30 am) to check out, ask for an iron, or anything else. Just had to leave the key in the room and hope for the best. The listing said breakfast was available for a charge but no details about that in the room. And I was very lucky to get a parking spot on the crowded street outside.

Dear Dan, thanks so much for your feedback. First of all we are happy that you liked the room and facilities - as I remember we gave you an upgrade to one of our lovely suites. The location of our hotel is pretty convenient - that is true. The opening times are normally 7.30 am to 8 pm. Unfortunately there was a human fail the very morning you checked out - I have to confess that I myself came late (around 8.3o). I sincerly want to apologize for that!! That is definately a no-go for a hotel and we know that! Normally our service is highly appreciated and employees are very helpful with everything. We attach great importance to personal service. Concerning the parking, I agree it is difficult - we offer a basement garage which can be reserved beforehand. We are very sorry Dan, and we hope we can welcome you another time IN PERSON and serve you our homemade breakfast and complimentary tea and coffee. Hope you give us another chance! For the price I was very happy. Close to cool shops, nightlife and good fast food and finding parking is ok, not impossible

Very beautiful B&B in a very cool part of Hamburg

Close to everything, it is like a home away from home. So clean, so trendy, and amazing helpful people. The Coffee, variety of fresh herbal teas, homemade jams, bread and cake a such a delight . Highly recommended thank you for sharing your place
