"We had a great stay at the hotel, the room was comfortable, good range of tea and coffees. There was no running water when we checked in (and disappointing that we weren't told this at the check.in desk) but it was resolved within the hour. No robe and towel for the spa in the room so we had to dash back and forth there. The spa should close at 8pm on Saturdays but we were asked to leave at 7.40. "The Russell Hotel is a good place to stay very close to Royal Tunbridge Wells amenities and attractions. We stayed here because we were going on the Spa Valley Railway Cheese Train on the Saturday afternoon and the hotel was an close enough to walk everywhere. "

"A very unusual property, being a Victorian estate built into a hillside. It is very easy to get lost at Salomons Estate, so th signage could have been better. You have to register at reception first before receiving a map to the building that you will be staying in. I found the lady on reception to be less than helpful, but she was better the following morning when I checked out. I had to ask another guest which building was which as there are several and it wasn't clear where to go - better...
