Lipstick on a pig. The rooms are remodeled but the remodel was done poorly. The motel itself is a cinder block and lopsided. There is a party element to the hotel which means you will see a lot of 30 somethings day drinking and smoking cigarettes. The hydration room smelled awful. We had cigarette smoke coming into our room at 1 AM. The pool looked like hepatitis. The bathroom weirdly smelled like bad seafood. The tile in the bathroom was crooked and poorly installed. This hotel has a great marketing team.

Hey Emily and David! Thank you for your feedback. It totally sucks that your experience wasn’t on par in comparison to majority who had positive times! The motel is definitely lopsided, it is build in nob HILL… build on a hill in 1950s and built really well. It was a former Travelodge. The weekend you were there we had a 40th high school reunion staying with us. We did check the text logs and our pms to see if there were any complaints during your stay or others and there was no mention or we would have taken care of it immediately. But at any rate, we would love an opportunity to make it up to you. We have also sent the engineer into the room you stayed in to address the issues. The room and property were very cute. I like some of the little details. Room was nice but the beds didn’t seem like queens and the bathroom was a bit tight. The shower was very nice though. Would stay again.

It is definitely a cute hotel and some thought was put into the little touches. But OMG put some effort into the front desk employees. I touched the banana saw the cute bar, grabbed dinner really quick and then came back to have a few drinks. The bar was closed for renovations suddenly? The desk guy was pretty short and rude and was like I'll send a text when it's open. I heard nothing after a couple hours so I checked in again... same insanely rude comments and a promise of a text. I checked back at 9pm (because the bar closes at 10) and was told it was open but I had missed last call. What happened to my text?!?! And an HOUR before close last call?!?! I booked this hotel specifically for the cute bar feature and didn't even get to use it. Bit of a let down.

Also, thank you for sharing your feedback on our guest service agents (gsa). We pride ourselves on how our GSA's can storytell while checking in the guest to help enhance the guest experience. Although time to time we may be training a new employee, we still want to make sure the guest experience is elevated with staff interactions. I am sorry that your experience wasn't up to ZAZZy standards. We will surely address this for training purposes with the staff on duty. Our onsite speakeasy hours are posted on the website and again on the paper key card that is given at the time of check in. Unfortunately, sometimes emergencies do happen and the bar was closed for a leak. We will address this with the bar team. We are glad to see that the hotel and its in room did not disappoint! We hope to make it up to you and host you again in the future. Safe Travels!
