No running hot water
Mould smell in room, marks on walls. Disgusting.
The only great thing was the location 2 minute walk to the beach and old town.

Posted 8 Aug 2018The location of Cheerfulway is a pleasant 5 min walk to centre of old town Albufeira, perfect!!
The apartments themselves were not pleasant. Our air con didn't work and after raising the issue with management they simply did nothing to fix it. The pool area is mostly covered in shade so people/groups cramped into the small bit in the sun. One group in the pool played music so loud everyone left, as management did nothing! The pool was often dirty and there are no bar facilities. Most of the clientele was early twenties groups.
Management were pleasant at reception but this isn't enough to make me want to go back.

Posted 27 Jun 2018Metal jail bed which flipped if you sat on the end, very little sleep could be had. Pool very dirty. Very run down place. Ok kitchen and bathroom facilities. Staff spoke little English. Ground floor room felt a little unsafe. Sunloungers 10+ years old covered in bird poo and dirt. Been to many "party" destinions where the hotels have been better. Wouldn't return.

arrived at this hotel to be told was double booked & had to stay at sister hotel villa Alba, about 5 mile away. receptionist was rude & unhelpful, the hotel Alba was filthy, no cleaning all week no clean towels, shower didnt work, told the receptionist/manager & got no response at all.

Pros: The pool area was nice.
Cons: Bigger tv. A/C. Better drainage in washroom sink. Better wifi.only in lobby and sometimes it was hard to get even in lobby.
Location: Location was great. Many restaurants and within walking distance to beautiful beach.
If you are looking for a bed to sleep in and a place close to the beach then this hotel is right for you. If you have kids and expect a quiet nights sleep then keep looking.
The facilities were great. Wonderful location. The road traffic and the late night neighbours were not the best. Bring your own pillows as well, theirs needed lots of impovement. The hotel description said sleeps 6. Still trying to figure that one out. Two bedrooms and a futon pullout does not sleep 6.
I know you are not there to watch tv but the 80's 13" tube tv could be upgraded.
Overall review 7 out of 10. Location was great. Amenities need some updating. The drainage problems in the washroom sink didn't help either. If you're happy with only a microwave and a stovetop than its fine. Just expected a little more including a/c which it did not have.

very old equipment!! in particular, television exploded on the second day. it was dangerous.
no exact address of the hotel. difficult to find for taxi service.

Posted 17 Oct 2019 on HotelsPaguei 90,00 Euros ao chegar no hotel no dia 24/09. Foram duas diárias. Falaram que não iriam lançar no cartão de crédito. Para minha surpresa quando cheguei no Brasil as diárias vforam lançadas no meu cartão Visa. Como vão me ressarcir? Não deram recibo porque não havia ninguém na recepção no dia 25 que deixei o local. É uma falcatrua. Paguei outros hotéis com o Hotéis.Com e não houve problema algum . Como fazer para me ressarcir.
