Posted 10 May 2024 on HotelsRoom and main lodge were lovely. Game viewing was slightly disappointing. Reserve is effectively broken into fenced sections with the lions in their own enclosure.
Guide appeared a bit rushed at times.

If you're looking for a TRUE safari...
Posted 7 Jan 2024 on HotelsIf you want luxury combined with the beauty of Africa, a safari with knowledgeable guides, 5 star food and beautiful, clean and tastefully decorated rooms with breathtaking views, THIS is the place to go. Have I mentioned the awesome staff!?! We saw all the animals on an organic safari surrounded by beautiful nature.

The facilities and game drives here are incredible. We stayed in the luxury family suite with pool room and it was so picturesque with everything that you need.
The game drives are great and the drivers are extremely knowledgeable.
The food choices at breakfast and dinner are also great, with a wide variety of options and the evening menus change daily.
I honestly could not recommend this stay enough.

The Garden Route Game Lodge offers an excellent, affordable, comfortable and relaxing stay with 2 daily games drives through their expansive game reserve where you get an up close and personal viewing of the various game animals. Your knowledgeable driver will tailor your drives to your preferences where possible. The entire staff are friendly and go above the usual standard of service to ensure you have a great stay. Tip - book Spa services early if you want to partake. Food & beverage is excellent. I recommend a minimum 2 nights, but preferably 3 nights to fully enjoy the facilities and 6 drives and appreciate the amazing animals more than once.
