Perfectly located for my business needs, the property owner was delightful, professional & courteous. The rooms are similar to a manhattan Fifth Avenue apartment building. Beautifully maintained & quiet. The surround area is also centrally located. I highly recommend this location.
Property is in a great location in center of town. But the AC wasn’t working in the lobby. And, we got down graded from a king room because of a queen room because the AC was not working in any king rooms. Overall, it wasn’t terrible, but could have been better.

Booked our room over a month ago. So did my daughters and husbands. The hotel had no rooms for my family and a downgraded one for us. We found this out by checking day before. We luckily found rooms at Hampton Inn for all but for $100 more. This hotel is in total screw up mode. Stay away

Not going there again
Room mix up to start. Choice of either a smaller room or a room with no ac. Staff was nice but they must be going through a change there. Not great.
Love location, no ice machine, no cont breakfast, maid service strange. Wouldn't enter our room to change the towels because we were NOT there. Who does that? So was helpful and pleasant but the whole atmosphere was weird

I tried to call this hotel before we arrived and every number I dialed didn’t work, when we got there the doors were locked and we had to call a number that was inside on the “lobby” desk so someone could unlock it. This property never told the third party(Expedia) they were under construction and that none of there rooms had AC. I was so angry that we left and booked a room at a real hotel
The room had no cable...no breakfast...no coffee....bugs in the light....bed with cover that had cigarette burns.....blinds in the bathroom were broken.....i was very unhappy for the price and condition. I celebrated my fiances bday and was sad with the room.

Charming property, looks like it has a lot of history, and in the same building with a live theater, cool stores, etc. Being in downtown Schenectady was interesting, with lots of restaurants, bars and shops nearby, but it was noisy (sirens, etc.) and didn’t feel as safe as I hoped. The room itself was a good-sized studio with high ceilings, large bathroom, large shower, and very clean. But the bed was pretty hard, the pillows were awful, the rain head in the shower didn’t work (the other shower head did though), and the bathroom window shade was broken. Also, just a light blanket on the bed and no extra blanket in the room (to be fair, we probably could have asked for one).

When we arrived there was no one at the desk then we were told theres not AC, we booked at king bed but only got a queen on the 3rd floor with no AC. Asked for a fan we got a small desk sized fan. There were not fitted sheets on the bed only flat sheet. We were never given a discount for all of the isses. We will not be returing or recommending this hotel.

I just needed a bed for the night, as I was in Schenectady for a wedding. I read good reviews from the past, and recent bad reviews, but stayed here anyway.
The room was fine. Bed, comfortable. Microwave, and mini fridge (Slightly cold). The shower, large, but the shower head is terrible. No pressure… seems they are under renovation, and trying to make things better. AC not working, but fan provided. One man running everything, (He was very nice when he was actually there…), but Front desk often vacant. Only a cell phone number to call, and you may get no answer… No bar, breakfast, ice or coffee (yet).
Still, I liked my room, and would stay here again. Less expensive than other nearby hotels. Great location, right next to Proctors Theater, restaurants, and Sunday large Farmers Market across the street.

The Parker Inn & Suites called to cancel my reservation the day before we were supposed to arrive in town because they didn’t have air conditioning. I asked for a refund, the told me to work with Expedia, and then I requested an email confirmation. This never arrived. Expedia refused to refund my stay that the hotel cancelled because they couldn’t contact the hotel. The number isn’t in service. I haven’t been able to get in touch either. Based on reviews, does not seem to be in operation. Terrible customer service from the hotel and Expedia, who still has the property listed.

The Parker Inn and Suites has so much potential. It seems as though they are suffering from zero staff and their current staff just does not care. Ownership clearly does not care because there was camera equipment everywhere that looks like it was just installed and packaging not thrown away. The guy that checked us in gave us major safety concerns. As all of my information was written on a paper and he used it to text me.. instead of the food delivery service and followed us up to our room to "check it out" with us... No one manned the hotel so if you had an issue or a security issue, good luck. The room was partially clean... the air conditioning did not work and the room was 80 degrees with no fan provided. I would recommend you not stay here, for safety as well as sanity concerns. The staffing issue is clear they need a revamp.
As a point of reference I have travelled so much in the last 30 years for both business, pleasure and family that two separate properties have recognized me with a gift for over 100 stays. When you’re on the road as much as I am, you will undoubtedly end up with horror stories. This hotel, was without a doubt the worst in all my travel. When you look at the pics online it presented as a charming old school small town hotel. The surrounding area is wonderful with theatres and restaurants and loads of small town charm, but the second you walk through the hotel doors you know you’ve made a mistake. Firstly door is locked during all hours so you have to phone a number to get someone to let you in. Once inside the desk clerk couldn’t find my reservation, I showed her my confirm and she trusted me so gave me a room on 7. The elevator from the lobby is old, poorly maintained and dirty, nobody would feel safe. When I got to the room there was all kinds of waste in the garbage cans and some poop left on the sides of the toilet from last guest. The shower, which I didn’t use, had visible mold on the tiles. The wifi and TV service were down. I pulled back the sheets and lifted mattress to look for bed bugs, thankfully none. So the best thing I can say about this property is it doesn’t have bugs in room 704. I wouldn’t feel comfortable letting my family or friends stay at this property.

Truly disappointing
Our visit started with the front door locked & no one at the front desk. I had to peer inside to see that I had to call a phone number. The person told me to put the security code to get in. How can I do that if I’m just trying to check in? Person said, “OK, I’ll come down,” as if it was an inconvenience. We arrived at 5 PM, so not real late, but told that the room we reserved was having issues with the A/C on a hot day. I could either take that room, or a smaller room. We were 3 adults—two parents and their young adult child, so we couldn’t take something smaller. He asked if I’d like to inspect the room, so we did. At first glance, the room looked okay. The windows were open, but he implied again that the A/C was inconsistent & maybe he could bring up a fan. Thinking the A/C might work, my husband, son, & I moved into the room. I paid for the room in full up front. It wasn’t until later that I noticed dirt on the floor, there weren’t enough towels for 3 people, & since I said to the front desk person that we’d be using the sofa bed, there were no linens provided. The shower head didn’t look that clean. Overnight, the A/C was dead--it was hotter than hell. It was noisy outside; it sounded like motorcycle drag races going on. We couldn’t sleep. We were going to say something the next morning about our experience, but again, no one at the front desk. There was no offer for a discounted room for the A/C inconvenience. Poorly managed. Would not recommend this place.
We didn't actually stay here in the end. The A/C wasn't working and they were good enough to offer a refund. After viewing the room we decided to take them up on the offer. Th room is not as pleasant as it looks in the pictures. It's all kind of old and stale and the elevator didn't exactly give us confidence. Also note that the "Free self parking on site" is actually a public lot that is only free after 5pm.

Great location. Have stayed here before prior to the pandemic and it was wonderful, I saw some mixed reviews recently but thought it was due to covid. I wish I had trusted them. It appears they are under new ownership. We requested a king bed with pullout sofa (2 people sharing a room and they don’t offer a double bed option). We only got a queen- no king’s available. No extra pillows in the room. Uncomfortable mattress and the mattress pad was so thin and worn, it was falling apart. One chair for sitting in the room. Glasses had what I hope are water marks and not dirt- didn’t use any appliances. It just didn’t “feel” very clean if that makes sense. It didn’t help that a travel shampoo left for us was only half full. Air conditioning was broken and a window was open in the room with rain coming in when we arrived (a panel was missing so you couldn’t close the window). Luckily the weather was cool. Used to love the continental breakfast but they now have zero options- I get it’s covid but there are lots of ways to offer safe coffee, juice, etc. No
Directions and no one was available upon check out. It felt odd just setting keys on a counter and walking out, but that’s what others were doing so we did too.
I’d trust the reviews and wait until they are under new ownership or their is evidence the new management changes things up and provides the quality stay The Parker Inn was once known for.
Trust the
