I booked to stay for a week in a specific room downstairs. They asked me, to switch rooms and go upstairs - because there was an older (person who they gave the room to). I’ve been a loyal customer to the establishment because I drive over an hour to work, having stayed several nights. I consider myself an elderly person being 59 years old and a diabetic. Having health issues. They made me feel guilty. I was very unhappy and upset about the request. I shouldn’t have been put in an awkward, uncomfortable position.
On my last nights stay; to make matters worse, I slip and fell at the bottom of the stairs. I tried to get help and was told that the management wasn’t there so I had to talk to them in the morning. The man barely spoke English and didn’t understood what I was saying. In the morning the management wasn’t even there. Another guest who witnessed everything; as I fell and hurt my wrist and twisted my back in the fall. The property is not maintained to the way it needs to be. Especially when it’s icy. Buckets of snow/ ice melt should be out and available so people can’t put it down and do not worry about slipping. The person I spoke with said that two other people had fallen as well. She was kind enough to help me. I will not be using this hotel again. Their loss of money and a loyal customer.
