Looking for a great hotel convenient to the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad and the Great Sand Dunes national park, this is the place. Very nice area and scenic to south eastern Colorado. Loved this area and a great hotel stay.

The property is nice and clean and the staff is very friendly. However, the hotel is located on the highway, literally. If you choose to stay here, I highly recommend that you request a room on the NORTH side, away from the highway. We were placed on the south side and I should have been more concerned when I saw a note on the bed from management letting the guests know that they had ear plugs at the front desk and recommended letting the a/c fan run all night for “white noise”. Even with the box-fan I borrowed from the front desk, the noise from the highway was quite unbearable for myself and the kids. My husband wasn’t bothered by it 😉
