The hotel is nicely located on a hillside overlooking the city and castle. Cheap transportation is easy to find. The Caiwan could be a cozy little hotel with a great view from the breakfast area, but it’s condition very sad. Many things are in illrepair: hot water available only a few hours per day, comes out at such a trickle that showering is nearly impossible. I didn’t. The toilet was not properly attached to the floor. The carpet was dirty, and the 1950ies television had a serious wires dangling below it. The place should be closed and fully refurbished.
That said, the breakfast, not included, was fine, and the staff polite, but this did not make up for the general condition of the place.
