This is a simple and tranquil resort in Akwidaa which is about 45 minutes by car from Busua where all the action is. There are only about 10 huts at this resort and there are no other resorts within walking distance. So you basically have the beach to yourself. If you walk about 20 minutes you will come across the local fishing village where people are so friendly and have their own beach on the other side of the rocks. Surfing is not feasible at the resort because the waves aren’t conducive to surfing. Although Jafaar the manager will bring surf instructors and boards to you if you want to surf at the local village beach. He goes out of his way to meet your needs whether it’s to bring you surf instructors, drivers, extra towels, Internet service or even his personal power bank to charge your phone. The staff is pleasant and polite. The food is good though there isn’t much variety. The huts are sparsely furnished but the huts are only for sleeping. Ours had three beds with proper mosquito nets and two fans. The bathroom has a shower, soap and towels. Nothing more but we didn’t expect more for 50 cedis per bed per night. The only facility other than lounge chairs is the restaurant/bar that has many books and board games. If you’re booking on Expedia note that the price is per bed/per person not per hut. I highly recommend this place to people who are looking for extreme tranquility, privacy, and simplicity.
