Traditional style/look in bedroom
Free bicycles
Cons
Lots of rules and passive aggressive notes
Nothing is included – everything costs extra except bikes
Long way from trains/ferry/restaurants/shops
Very restrictive check in times
Lots of sound bleed to other rooms even when other guests were trying to be quiet – locks and doors are stiff and squeak and bang
Hot water ran out after 1 shower
Not very clean by Japanese standards
No staff to ask for help

Nice clean place, but with a lot of rules that make it a bit strange - and less than user-friendly. Check in isn't until 5pm, they won't even keep your bags, and struggling with their key/storage locker thing was the last thing we wanted after a day of travelling here. It IS a traditional house, very clean which is great, but all too easy to hear other guests.

Posted 7 Jun 2017 on HotelsOverall, the guesthouse is clean and comfortable. It felt like home. The staff was friendly and nice. Location is a little bit far from the city center but it can still be found easily if you follow the instruction of the guesthouse. There is a large supermarket nearby so it is pretty convenient. Wish there were more restaurants in the neighbourhood.

Pros: FRIENDLY, WELCOMING, CLOSE TO TOWN BUT NOT IN CITY
Cons: Cant think of anything that could be improved
Location: Great location near to bus stop, supermarket, and only 10 minutes by bus to town
Visited Naoshima and realty enjoyed the art installations
Glad we chose this guest house where Miuki could not have been more helpful with information on welcoming us and giving us lots of local information which made our stay very enjoyable. Thank you and we had similar interests in the arts and we are sure we will be back again in the future. Keep in touch and hope Miyuki makes it to UK

Relaxing stay at a beautiful traditional style roo
Posted 10 Apr 2017 on HotelsOur host was friendly and was there 15 minutes before check in deadline to guide us and show us the room even though we were close to being late. He recommended a local onsen to relax at that was enjoyable and the people there were friendly and for those interested they sold gyu nyuu at the vending machines. Banana strawberry and regular. Along with detailed train instructions via email it was easy to find even after leaving from the ritsurin gardens and then heading there. Would stay another night after the futon and private room is Japanese traditional and very comfortable

隣の部屋の声がとてもよく聞こえます。24時超えても大声で話していて何度か英語で注意しましたが改善しませんでした。
