Whenever I visit my family in Germany I stay here. The property is nestled in the quiet beautiful countryside, every morning we enjoyed seeing the rolling hills with cows, sheep, donkeys milling about. I only booked a room and upon arrival was "upgraded" (no extra fees) to a Ferienwohnung, i.e we had an entire apartment for our 4 night stay. Staff is so accommodating and kind. Will stay here again, without looking for other places first.

Posted 13 Sep 2019 on HotelsCouldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Absolutely fabulous! We will definitely stay there again. Breakfast buffet was authentic German breakfast, beds were comfy and views were nothing but beautiful, serene countryside! Loved it!

Guests Personalized customer service. A lot of attention in extras like fresh water available every day, coffee or tea free self stations! Every morning breakfast in a table prepared for each guest/ family.

Lovely room and peaceful location. Nice restaurant by the lake about 1km away. Great breakfast and nice to have good value drinks available with an "honesty tray" for payment. Wifi signal wasn't great in our room but fine downstairs.

Cons: Pillows
Location: I was only there for one night, just passing through Germany on my way to Calais. The hotel is in a quiet part of Ahlefeld, so not much to do there.
I have no complaints about this place. The lady owner who runs this place went above and beyond to accommodate my needs even when it was outwith her operating times. She made a really nice breakfast for me the next day. I was completely comfortable here and would definitely stay again.
The room was clean especially the bathroom which had a very nice shower. My only suggestion would be about the pillows which weren't proper pillows so were not very comfortable for me but apart from that, everything was good and that personal touch given by the owner, made it all the more special.

Very friendly hostess, very pleasant hotel, nice room, very comfortable bed, good selection of continental breakfast items and other snacks available for purchase from a fridge. In-room coffee making facilities would have been nice (there was a communal kettle with 'fruit teas' but no coffee), and there was no evening meal service, but the recommendation for the nearby Seeterrasse Bistensee was spot on and the food there excellent.
