"Very beautiful views atop a mountain overlooking the Mediterranean. The road up is a challenge, for sure. Probably unlike anything else you have driven, but very doable with a little patience. The size of the place it a little tight for a family of 4, but you can make it work. The pool and patio are lovely and the hosts are very kind. "

"Our hosts were outstanding! They had fruit, pastry, liquor and water in fridge for us. The pictures you see online are actually real. You have a million dollar view. Our patio was huge. LOVE IT! 2 senior woman and we felt extremely safe. Our apt was cute, clean, beds comfy and quiet. The apt was fully equipped if you chose to cook. Plenty of restaurants down the hill overlooking the sea. Grocery store nearby. Location was great for sightseeing around Crete. Highly recommend. "

"This is a 3-bedroom villa fully equipped for quite quality vacation. On the photo you see a large private terrasse with beautiful view. You need a car to communicate in and out. Pleasant beach with few restaurants is less than 10 min drive, city Heraklion with all tourists' attractions is 25 - 30 min drive. "

Great Hotel outside of Heraklion

"This was a terrific hotel about 25 kilometers out of Heraklion. It was fine for us because we had a car and the driving easy. The hotel was walking distance down the hill Agia Pelagia which is a cute little beach town. We ate at the hotel restaurant one night and were pleasantly surprised at the overall quality of the dishes we had- way better than a hotel restaurant usually is. The staff was great and the breakfast buffet was very good. If you are planning a trip to Knossos and the Archeological Museum this is a good option. It was nice to get back to the quiet of an out of town hotel. The only downside is they are trying to hard to be kitschy which is totally unnecessary for such a quality property. We loved it all in all"

"Hotel property was very well maintained, on-site restaurant was great! Staff were very friendly and great hospitality. Rooms were a bit limited on extras (small tv, limited towels, no coffee maker etc) but bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very large and renovated. Overall positive stay! It is in an area on its own so not close to other restaurants etc, but a great location for a short stay and only 20 min drive from Heraklion airport!"
