Africam Safari is a fun and informative park offering the opportunity to see exotic animals in vast natural habitats. It has a drive-through safari as well as a walking tour for a closer look at some of the tamer animals. Attend some of the zoo’s fascinating shows and attractions.
Get a closer look at the wild world by driving or taking one of the park’s buses on the main circuit through the park. Travel through the habitats of the giraffes, zebras and rhinos. See the zoo’s majestic lions and Bengal tigers. The Adventure Zone is where you’ll find other intriguing creatures, such as anteaters, bats and meerkats. Watch the spectacular Birds Show in the afternoon to see the tricks of resplendent avian creatures. Aside from the animals, the park offers exciting activities. Enjoy the thrills of the zip line 50 feet (15 meters) in the air.
Stroll through the serene and picturesque surroundings of the Botanical Garden. Inspect the array of Mexican trees and plants.
Take a break for lunch at the Kilimanjaro restaurant, which has an excellent view of the zoo’s African savannah, or try pizza at the Madagascar establishment. The park is a popular place for events such as weddings and birthday parties. Imagine having your special event in the Valley of the Giraffes or Island Tangañika.
There is a fee for entrance to Africam Safari, with a small discount for kids and those with a Mexican senior card. The complex opens every day of the year from morning until early evening.
The Africam Safari is about 12 miles (20 kilometers) southeast of central Puebla in its namesake state. Drive here in about 30 minutes or take a bus to arrive in 1 hour. See nearby landmarks, such as the Atoyac River and the Parque Bicentenario.
