"The Acro & Polis was absolutely the key to us having the most incredible vacation while in Athens. The rooftop patio offers breathtaking views of the Acropolis as well as the surrounding area full of shops and restaurants. "The hotel is great value for money The staff are lovely . Ignore the confusing check in instructions from Hotels.com the address on the website is the one to tell taxi drivers ; the hotel is on a corner so covers both address’s : no need to arrive then be taken to another location as they suggest . The area around the hotel is dodgy ; people shooting up on the streets prostitutes on the corners . Just be very aware of what’s going on around you "

"Staff was excellent, friendly and helpful including the cleaning lady who tidied the room daily. I appreciated the comfortable bed, large balcony and mini fridge. I enjoyed the traditional greek style breakfast, but it was pretty basic. There is a functional elevator for the building. "Excellent property. Somewhat walkable to the city, but definitely walkable to metro/airport. Great communication with property manager on how to get keys. Not exactly like a hotel- but it had everything and was great. There’s a lot of good spots around the property and grocery stores. 3-5 mins walk will get you breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks etc. I would definitely come back and book again next time in Athens! The only thing to note is that if you’re a light sleeper, there is a bit of noise...

"Overall was a good stay. Hotel and room was in good condition. I was upgraded to a better room which was appreciated. Breakfast was good. Only negative was that when we asked for few hours of late check in as our flight was in the afternoon we were asked to pay extra 40 EUR although room was available and free for the day."

"The staff at the hotel is excellent. They are helpful and very pleasant. From the front desk to the restaurant to the cleaning staff. Wonderful. The view from the restaurant is amazing. Breakfast had a lot of choices and dinner was first class. I highly recommend the Athens Gate Hotel."
