We were out the whole day and put the sign out to clean the room unfortunately this did not happen and when we came back at 8pm we asked for fresh towels but we’re out of luck . The owner or manager was not very friendly at all. No complimentary water but charged almost 5 euro for a bottle of water. We paid $100 per night without breakfast. Cannot recommended at all

Liebe Gäste,Sie hatten das Schild mit bitte nicht Stören/Reinigen an der Zimmertüre angebracht und dann gehen die Reinigungsdamen auch wie gewünscht, nicht ins Zimmer.Sie haben das Frühstück für die erste Nacht nicht abgemeldet und wollten um 8 Uhr zum Frühstück kommen, sind aber nicht erschienen, dies verrechnen wir natürlich. Für die zweite Nacht haben Sie es abbestellt und wurde Ihnen dann auch nicht berechnet.Sie haben nach stillem Wasser (0,7l) gefragt und hätten aber auch Tafelwasser zum halben Preis haben können.Zum Glück haben wir auch viele unkomplizierte und nette Gäste.

Wegen Essen ein besuch wert.

Posted 21 Oct 2014 on HotelsThe setting is a delightful country village. The food at the restaurant down the street was exceptional. The rooms, staff and breakfast were all pleasant. I would recommend this guest house for those who can manage bags and stairs

Pros: The food. Fresh asparagus in hollandaise sauce was pure heaven.
Cons: Not much, for a country inn.
Location: Freilandsmuseum in Bad Windsheim, 40 km away. About 3 km from the A3, which goes to Erlangen and Nuremberg. Adidas and Puma hdqtrs are close.
The hotel is quiet and clean. Only downside is the stairs to the rooms, not a problem unles your luggage is very heavy.
The food is the best we had in Bavaria, including a Nuremberg stay.
Staff is friendly, and the location above Erlangen made for a fast trip back to the Frankfurt Airport at the end of our trip.
