The property did not describe the bedrooms adequately. The one we chose had an unattached hallway bathroom, which we did not see listed in the description or we would not have selected it.
The owners children were lounging in the common area in the Pajamas, and their dog was on the sofa up in our faces as well as in the dinning area with head near the tables

Beautiful facility, with wonderful furniture and decor. Navigating the stairs is a bit of a challenge when you are in your mid seventies. Overall a great experience

Can’t beat this place
Posted 23 Aug 2024 on HotelsI felt like I was visiting relatives. The host and hostess were super friendly and kind.
We were about 20 miles from the activities that we were there for, but it was worth the drive.

I travel frequently and first time staying at a B & B. Stayed in unit 5. Really spacious but not as clean as expected. Bugs encounterd in shower stall. Water stains and holes in ceiling tiles. Hair in the freezer area in fridge.Tom was very nice and pleasant no complaints with him. Breakfast was posted as 7 to 9 walked upstairs was given an awkard look by Amanda to be advised that its not ready , left and came back and was chastised due to she burnt the bacon as if it was my fault? Even though Tom was kind enough to ask what i would like the night before? He made up for it buy bringing bacon to my room. I was advised by Amanda to text her when I wanted bacon? Just akward and odd. Steep driveway. Loud noises from screaming kids at 10:30 pm in front of unit 5 which is a gaming room with air hockey table after trying to sleep after enjoying day. Pool water looked scary was advised pool pump was broken. Will I ever stay at a B & B again? No. The Comfort Inn up the street is a little more money but guaranteed full breakfast , quiter and cleaner and no attitudes.

I want to acknowledge that things didn’t go as smoothly as I hoped during your stay, and I’m sorry for any discomfort or frustration this may have caused. I understand that there were some issues that affected your experience, and I’d like to clarify a few points.Firstly, I was aware of your gluten-free needs and tried to accommodate them by preparing a gluten-free breakfast. I had made homemade biscuits earlier and cleaned up thoroughly before starting on the bacon and eggs. My initial look was due to my own concern about not having all the necessary items ready, and I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable. When you came in, I let you know that the eggs were ready, but I understand now that you were concerned about the plate they were served on. I didn’t have a paper plate at the time, which led to confusion about how to best serve the food. I should have communicated more clearly and perhaps offered alternatives more proactively.Regarding the bacon, I was in the process of cooking it quickly and was waiting to see if you would prefer it on a separate plate or if the eggs needed to be re-served. When you went downstairs, I was unsure whether you still wanted the bacon, and I didn’t want to serve it incorrectly. I sent Thomas with the bacon later, hoping it would help, though I realize this might have further added to the confusion. As for the pool, I’m sorry for any concerns you had. The passing storm caused the pump to seize and break. It was broken for four days (the amount of time it took to order a new one) thankfully it was repaired the evening before your arrival. I understand that the appearance of the pool might have been different from what you expected, especially since it has a concrete bottom rather than a blue liner. I appreciate your feedback and will consider this in future descriptions to avoid any misunderstandings. It’s clear that our BNB may not have met your expectations, and that’s perfectly okay. I hope you won’t let this experience shape your view of all BNBs. We strive to provide a welcoming and accommodating environment, and I regret that we fell short during your stay. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, and I wish you all the best in your future travels.
