This hotel is a little dated. Nothing was a disaster but I offer the following notes:- 1) Shower cubicle is too small unless you are an anorexic midget. 2) Wifi didn't work in the room - only the lobby (where it was excellent). 3) Spa pool was clean but basic and needed refurbishment. 4) Soundproofing minimal with 6am wake-up call from street garbage collection. 5) Parking (on the street) difficult needing to be topped up every morning before 8am by getting another ticket. 6) Hotel decor a little depressing and gloomy. Having said that, location is excellent and the staff service was difficult to fault.

classic spa hotel
Posted 2 Oct 2017 on Hotelsgood breakfast. bed sagging somewhat. great location. made reservation for massage and was told (at spa) that would need to purchase access to full spa facilities to get a robe and slippers. ridiculous! spoke with person at checkin desk; he had housekeeping provide robe and slippers at no charge. housekeeper picked up dirty towel from the floor and hung on the towel rack; it was on the floor for a reason. town was lively--food festival going on. fabulous restaurants; hard to choose. carpet in hotel stained and dirty--needs to be replaced. great shower. no plastic cups provided in bathroom; found in mini bar on second day. massage not worth 85 euros for 50 minutes; not deep enough to do any good. no face cradles, so neck was quite tight until finallt got to turn over.

Dear Susan,
thank you for your feedback.
we have tariffs that include the entrance to the SPA with the Roman path,
whose duration is 2 hours and 30 minutes (hot thermal water pool, saunas, turkish bath, frigidarium and relaxation area with herbal teas and water;
it seems strange to have been told that to do a massage is obligatory to make the tour;
the people that work in SPA, are professional, if something is wrong they are always ready to satisfy our guests.
For bath towels a check has been made and I confirm that if thrown to the ground is replaced
We are to disposition for further information.
I hope to have your retourn in our hotel to prove that services are improved
Kind regards
Lorenzo Perfumo

Great service and location
Posted 8 Oct 2016 on HotelsFantastic service at the front desk. Portions of the hotel are truly grand, others need a little updating. Breakfast is good and excellent variety. The location simply can't be beat if you want to stroll the center part of Acqui, which is quite beautiful.

I found it not as nice as 2 years ago. Pool more expensive, didn't have parking and quality of breakfast not as good. Great location!!

OK - but needs MAJOR renovation
Posted 29 Mar 2016 on Hotelsgood location and access. interesting offers like its own spa. The building and layout are quite nice and are clean - BUT wow does this place need a makeover, and not just some touch ups! Too much to go into here, but the worst was the bed - the mattress must have been of cardboard over metal springs!

Outdated hotel in lovely town
Posted 21 Oct 2015 on HotelsWe was there one night while having a weekend in the Piemonte region.
Covered parking was included in the price of the booking, but at check in parking was occupied. I asked the lady at the check-in desk where to park then, and the reply was "I dont know - it is not my problem". Quite an unpolite approach in my opinion.
We booked a superior room with a king size bed. The room was nice enough as such but the bed was horrible. It was 2 single beds put together, and it seemed like they had not changed beds since they opened up the hotel. Definately not a king-size bed, and the comfort was simply non existing.
The breakfast was included, but really really low quality - coffee and juice from a machine, dry bread, and meats and cheeses where gone when we were there at 8.30am - it took them very long time to refill the various plates of food, and there were used cups and plates on all tables basically. Seems like it would have been a good idea to have 4-5 extra waiters on that morning. They were way understaffed for sure.
at check out when mentioning these things the lady all of a sudden didnt understand english, and didnt seem like she cared.
I would NOT recommend this hotel, and it certainly doesnt live up to be a 4-star hotel in my book.
